Last year, we implemented two brand-new Group Sales info pieces; the Group Scoop quarterly email and the Group Travel Planner guide. This year, we were able to see the incredible outcome of those new materials. Our Group Scoop emailer currently has 117 subscribers and we receive emails back all the time from tour operators leing us know how much they appreciate the information. Our Group Travel Planner has been exceedingly helpful as a mailing piece for School Groups, Religious Groups, Motor Coach Operators, and any group traveling to town that needs more information catered to group activities, dining and lodging. The Frankenmuth CVB and Go Great Lakes Bay CVB partnered in hosting the Society of Govement Meeting Professionals first Annual Educational "Knowledge Quest" at the Bavarian Inn Lodge this past July. We created a scavenger hunt that took all 60 participants throughout Downtown. At each stop, the participants had to answer a piece of trivia about Frankenmuth. It was a fun way for them to learn about our area as well as envision their next meeting or event in Frankenmuth. Lastly, we hosted three Familiarization Tours (FAMs) in Frankenmuth this past year: the SGMP Knowledge Quest Post-Event FAM, a Michigan-wide Meetings Michigan FAM, and the joint Great Lakes Bay/Frankenmuth CVB Group Tour FAM. At the end of this past August, Lauren Visuri transitioned from the Sales Manager Position into the Membership & Events Manager position within our organization. We were happy to welcome Hamada Alghulbi as our new Sales Manager at the start of the new fiscal year. 545 qualified sales leads were sent to our members for meetings, sports, weddings, reunions and motor coach markets 2,348 group room inquiries sent out in 2017-2018 11,986 welcome packets provided to meeting planners and motor coach operators that visited Frankenmuth Group & Meeting Sales What have we done?
