The sinking fund projects will continue throughout the next 5 years. Wi a ba ot proposal revenue benefit the Frankenmuth School District? Yes! None of the revenue will go to Lansing or to any other school district or political entity. If the ba ot proposals are approved by voters, wi property values be affected? Research indicates that real estate values tend to be higher in communities with school districts that are perceived to offer a quality educational program and have up-to-date school facilities. Why do we need Media Center improvements in a three schools? When we were growing up, the focus of a library was to check out books. Students now use those spaces not only for literacy, but also to work independently, in small groups and with their classrooms. Nowadays, students also use media centers as places to complete online classes, work on projects and research information. Why does List Elementary need new classrooms? There are two main reasons for this. First, we need more intervention space where our special education teachers and other key staff work with students one on one or in small groups. For example, our speech teacher is currently working out of a converted closet. We are building two classrooms this summer to address those needs, using current sinking fund monies. Secondly, our preschool and childcare programs have expanded greatly over the past 10 years. The district has over 100 students in preschool and daycare. These students are valuable because they are our future K-12 students. Proposal 1 will fund four new classrooms for preschool and daycare. Who can vote in this election?
