Graduating in 1959, Dr. Keinath was active at FHS. He served as Senior Class President, Editor in Chief of the school newspaper, played football, basketball, baseball and ran track. After leaving FHS, Dr. Keinath went on to become a worldwide leader in the research and study in environmental engineering, sciences and water quality controls. His work not only influenced industries, international practices, but also many up and coming engineers. Our current students will have an opportunity to meet and learn more about Dr. Keinath's work in October. In 1991 Officer Daugharty started serving the Frankenmuth community as the DARE Officer at our schools. He oversaw the District's safety plans and provided security training to all administrators and staff members. He had a natural gift of building a positive rapport with all students and was adept at helping families with challenges. He taught the DARE program to 26 cohorts, provided countless 911 training in our early elementary classrooms, and shared internet safety and texting consequences with middle school students. Teachers commented that he was always well-prepared to teach students, and students remember the relatable stories that went along with the lessons. In the end, Officer Daugharty made our schools and community a safer place to live. Officer Daugharty's Official Trading Card Champion of Children – Tom Daugharty.
