While we continue to have a couple really big projects for the organization, the goals this year were presented by department or position so that each area may grow and evolve simultaneously. For example, the Sales Manager now has an added Community Relations piece to their role which will help provide resources and a link to all of the volunteer led events in our community, especially those that draw overnight travelers. As our marketing budget has grown and our new dynamic website prepares to launch, we will evolve the way we manage the site and communicate with our visitors and members as we increase our capabilities. The Membership & Programs role is working to build a diverse program of offerings for our members in educational and networking opportunities that are scheduled throughout the year. The Membership Menu that already launched at the start of the fiscal year began the process of developing the membership calendar and planning. The programs for the remainder of the year are already set so we can focus on making them great and begin to work ahead to improve the opportunities we bring members in the following year. There are many other projects that are on the list, including things like working with our community partners on Workforce Development issues, transportation issues and safety in our community. Finally, as your leader, I will be working to evolve the CVB from solely a marketing organization to a true destination development resource as, globally, a CVB's role in their community makes a big shift. 1 2 3 4 Goals for 2019-2020 Planning for an extensive Visitor Center remodel will begin in 2020 as we decide what changes will make the Center more welcoming and appealing to today's user. Launch Frankenmuth Certified – A community educational tool with a plan to engage our local businesses and residents in the program. Launch the new Frankenmuth.org website which will be the beginning of an ever-changing portal of resources that will connect with digital advertising and provide custom opportunities based on the time of year and the audience it is presented to. All of our growth has warranted the addition of a new position in the organization. A communications role is expected to be added in the first quarter of 2020 with some exciting projects already on the docket including a potential podcast collaboration for the local community. 17
