The new social distancing recommendations put in place can make it difficult for individuals to locate the items they need or to complete normal errands, etc. MuthServes.com is now live and ready to help connect people in Frankenmuth during a time when we are all physically disconnected. How it works is simple. Need groceries, but don't feel comfortable making the trip to the grocery store? Perhaps you need a prescription picked up. Fill out the Request Help form at muthserves.com, select Grocery Pickup/Delivery, and a Muth Serves Coordinator will pair you with a volunteer. The volunteer will contact you to go over what items you need; they will then set up a pickup and delivery time with you. If you are feeling a little lonely during this time of isolation, again, head to the Request Help form and select Well-Check Call. A Muth Serves coordinator will pair you with volunteer who will simply call just to check in! There are a number of items for which you can request help. Muth Serves may not be able to accommodate all requests, but will do their best to connect people with needs to organizations that are able to assist. If you would like to volunteer to help a neighbor, visit muthserves.com and click the Volunteer tab to sign up today! A coordinator will contact you with volunteer opportunities that are a potential match for you. If you have already submitted your name as a volunteer to the City, you will be receiving an email to complete the form on this site. If you do not have time to spare, but want to share, head to the Share tab to see how you can give back to those around you. Remember, you may not be contacted right away to assist as there may be more volunteers than needs or no needs that meet your volunteer selections. If you do not have access to the website, you may call the City's information line at (989) 652-3441 and leave a message to sign up and someone will contact you to complete the form over the phone. These are unprecedented and difficult times that we are facing, but when faced together, the Frankenmuth community will overcome and be stronger following Covid-19. In an effort to keep the community safe and healthy throughout the Covid-19 crisis, a new community resource is being launched called "Muth Serves." This program has been designed to help connect needs with resources within the community. Sign up now at muthserves.com
