unique situation. Many businesses are requiring masks to be worn and others are asking guests to wear them if they can medically tolerate it. The more that comply, the better success we have in creating a safe environment. The outcome was the development of a Business Toolkit which is publicly available online at muth.life/toolkit for all businesses in our community and beyond. It includes the signage templates along with a reference list of local printers that can assist with customizing and ordering necessary signage, stickers and plexiglass barriers. A list of local PPE suppliers is also included as getting appropriate supplies was initially a concern. The Toolkit also includes a 6-point checklist for businesses to prepare their own Response & Readiness Plans. Policy templates are an important component of the kit as well. These were shared by the Michigan Chamber of Commerce and Bodman Law to help businesses across the state of Michigan. Certified Risk Manager, Greg Rummel from the Rummel Agency assisted in review of the policies to ensure they would meet the needs of most local Frankenmuth businesses. These policies are critical to educate employees about new expectations and processes. The shared road-map has allowed all businesses in Frankenmuth access to the materials they need to do things right and help us all uphold that legacy of being a safe and welcoming place. Businesses have now put up signs and barriers, rearranged their spaces to allow for more distancing between guests, controlled traffic flows, and developed their Preparedness & Response Plans. They have begun calling employees back for training and work. They are ready and excited to see guests again! The Chamber and Convention & Visitors Bureau has shifted its focus from crisis management to "Welcome Back" messaging that includes educating our visitors about the expectations in Frankenmuth. The welcome back page shares these expectations and is also the hub for information about businesses re-opening. The webpage is updated daily as information changes and can be found by visiting frankenmuth.org/welcomeback.
