Saginaw Future Inc. is in the business of generating new investment and job growth in Saginaw County, MI, USA. Established in 1992, Saginaw Future Inc. (SFI) is a private, nonprofit alliance of local businesses, the Saginaw County Chamber of Commerce, the County and City of Saginaw, City of Frankenmuth, 13 local municipalities, labor organizations and local foundations. Saginaw Future has nine staff members who are advised by a 23 member Board of Directors. Its services are designed to aid existing businesses and those locating in Saginaw County. with Zehnder's Splash Village Hotel and Waterpark on its new $20 million investment. The Michigan Strategic Fund approved a grant to the City of Frankenmuth to improve the wastewater collection system at the south end of the City, which will support the expansion. SFI, working with the EDC secured the grant and will administer the project, which is expected to create 69 new full time jobs. The 29,000 sq. ft. of additional waterpark space will be housed Throughout the years Saginaw Future has worked closely with the City of Frankenmuth, Frankenmuth Chamber of Commerce, Frankenmuth EDC, Frankenmuth DDA and its business leaders. Teaming up with the Michigan Economic Development Corporation, Saginaw Future regularly meets with Frankenmuth businesses and addresses companies' concerns and provides assistance to help them succeed. The Saginaw Future Procurement Technical Assistance Center also meets with companies to provide no fee assistance to businesses that are interested in Federal, state and local government contracts. Working with the Frankenmuth EDC, SFI helped secure and administer grants for infrastructure improvements for projects like the Frankenmuth Insurance expansion, the construction of SpringHill Suites, Memtron's facility and has worked very closely with the Bavarian Inn Lodge over the years, including the recent $3 million renovation of its Family Fun Center. Star of the West and Zeilinger Wool have also been benefited from SFI and City of Frankenmuth support. Some of the features depicted will be a fourperson family raft ride, action river, speed slide, surf rider, zero entry activity pool, private cabanas, concession area and an outdoor pool patio. While Saginaw Future supports local businesses, in turn SFI greatly appreciates the support of private sector companies which helps fund the 501(c)3 non-profit.
