4 FRANKENMUTH.ORG TRAVEL SAFE We don't know what this year will bring. BUT you can count on Frankenmuth to continue to be a place that is clean, safe, and welcoming to everyone. As we began planning our 2021 visitor guide, a lot of uncertainty remained, and likely still remains, as you're reading this now. We couldn't do this guide justice without acknowledging the challenging year 2020 was for our visitors and businesses alike. We saw the voluntary closing of businesses to keep our community safe, chairs in restaurants sat empty for months, and our streets and sidewalks normally brimming with happy visitors were eerily quiet and empty. But what we've also seen is kindness, support, and a whole lot of courage. Our businesses have been continually reinventing themselves and several of those changes have been for the better. Many lessons that have been learned throughout the pandemic have brought new business opportunities, smarter operations, and a safer, more enjoyable visitor experience. We are so encouraged by that. 4 FRANKENMUTH.ORG Another constant that kept us going all those months was you, our visitors, who have continued to support our small businesses. You have shopped our locally-owned boutiques, ordered takeout meals for your family, and explored Frankenmuth in new ways as we adapted together. For that, we can't thank you all enough. We don't know what this next year will bring, but we're hopeful it will bring back smiles, laughter, festivals, and once again, full streets. As we move forward, you can count on Frankenmuth to continue to be a place that is clean, safe, and welcoming to everyone.
