13 Are you interested in learning the key to tiring out an entire 5th grade class? EFR teachers Emily Spaulding, Madison Struble, and Wendy Suhr discovered this formula. On Wednesday, May 12, students and staff spent an entire day outside learning at the Saginaw ISD's Camp Hartley. Originally scheduled for Fall 2020 as an overnight excursion, the teachers worked closely to preserve this memorable experience for our students. Instead of dwelling on "what they couldn't do," Hartley's staff focused entirely on all the learning that happens in the great outdoors. Gratefully, Mother Nature was completely on- board with this collaborative plan. Many loved the team-building activities which required leadership, attention, communication, and problem solving abilities. A student favorite was their time learning about our local Native American history. Their teachers remarked that the "bus ride home was rather quiet" as students reflected on their day of learning in the fresh air. The Great Outdos
