Ridin' in Style The design on the new FHS Band trailer was created by Junior Haley Kindy. Haley is currently a Junior at FHS, and plays flute in the Band. Band students voted on seven designs created and submitted by other FHS band students, and Haley's won the most votes. Her design is now proudly displayed on the Band trailer! Congratulations Haley! Thank you for your wonderful contribution! 20 WHEN DO YOU CALL THE POLICE? Almost weekly there are voicemails at the Police Department received over the weekend that sound something like, "I didn't want to bother anyone and it's not an emergency, but I saw something suspicious and thought I should report it." The problem is that the caller saw something suspicious Saturday morning at 4am, and left a voicemail that we retrieved Monday at 8:10am. We don't want you to wait. We want to take your calls. All the time. Immediately. As they happen. We are aware that in some communities it is not uncommon for some calls to go unanswered. It is true that certain calls may be considered less of a priority (like a barking dog) say than a call related to a vehicle crash. But a barking dog call can be important. Most times dogs bark for a reason – and the reason could be a cat or someone in their backyard who doesn't belong there. The Frankenmuth Police Department can only keep our community safe with your help. If you see something – say something. To the Police Department. Call us first – via 911. Dialing 9-1-1 is the most efficient and effective way to have an officer dispatched to your location. As your public safety department, we are asking you – pleading with you – to use 911 to ask for our assistance. We are ok if you over reacted. We are ok if the situation you thought looked weird turned out to be nothing. Those calls keep eyes on the street and the City safe and we can't do it without you.
