Back to School, Students Planning for the Future As we head into the 2021-22 school year, we have many FHS students making the most of our many educational opportunities. With a goal to ensure that each student graduates with a post-high school plan and some credential, licensure, college credit, or other advantage, we are fortunate to partner with a number of programs and entities to provide opportunities for all. Frankenmuth High School proudly partners with Career and Technical Education programs in three counties – Saginaw, Bay, and Tuscola – to provide our students with exceptional career and skilled trades learning opportunities, and 55 FHS juniors and seniors will be participating in those programs this coming year. The 5 students in the Tuscola Tech Center hosted Frankenmuth Insurance Leadership Academy will complete their coursework and work-based learning at Frankenmuth Insurance here in town while earning college credits trough Northwood University. We have 18 students planning to earn 126 college credits through dual enrollment at Delta College and SVSU, and we also have 6 students enrolled in the Great Lakes Bay Early College program. Two of those six students are completing their 5th and final year, which allows them the opportunity to have earned up to 60 total college credits upon completion. In addition to these offerings, we have 111 students taking 5 different Advanced Placement Classes on site (including our new AP Computer Science Principles course) and additional students taking a few AP elective courses online. Locally, we will be placing 19 students in work- based learning (co-op, internship, or cadet) programs as well through our FHS CTE offerings. We are grateful to all of our partner programs, businesses, and educational entities who make these opportunities possible.
