We all need to remember that while businesses, especially here in Frankenmuth, value their customers and service, their employees are likely their greatest asset. Many employees are new or changing roles, so as consumers, if we can be compassionate with those attempting to serve or assist us in a local business, it will go a long way. Odds are high that they are new, learning or working in a changing environment and just need a little grace by the public. As a strong, faith-based community, these small things will go a long way to help a neighbor. ■ Wein & Stein Cancelled for 2021, But New Program Brings Fun to Frankenmuth After many discussions with the local restaurants and businesses, the decision was made to cancel Wein & Stein this year. This was not an easy decision to make, but it was the best decision based on the feedback from the business community. The Frankenmuth Chamber & CVB is hopeful to bring the event, or something similar, back to the community next year. Wein & Stein was a must-attend event for many members of the community. If you're missing it this year, make sure to check out the new Bavarian Bierpass program. This interactive passport program features profile pages for participating establishments throughout town that sell drinks or drink samples. Tour around town purchasing beverages to earn stamps. Once 15 stamps have been collected, passports can be turned in for a limited edition Frankenmuth t-shirt! The passport can be completed at your own pace and can be purchased at the Visitor's Center for just $10 (You will also receive a mini stein with your purchase!). While the hustle and bustle of Wein & Stein will be missed on October 7th this year, we encourage you to grab your friends, pick up a passport, and head out on the town for a night of fun! 7
