#Frankenmuth 1-800-FUN-TOWN 21 Get away with the Girls! Need a little girl time away from reality? Frankenmuth is the perfect place to catch up with your girlfriends, do some shopping, enjoy sweets and treats, and of course sip and swirl your favorite wines and spirits. Not to mention, it's time to try something fun and different together, like making a new bracelet while sipping on fruit-infused wines or a boat cruise down the gorgeous Cass River. For the perfect Girls Getaway, use the following itinerary to help with the planning process! TEE OFF TOUR! Pack your bags...your golf bags that is! It's time to escape on the golf course in Michigan's Little Bavaria. DAY 1 Tee off at The Fortress Golf Course. This 18-hole, par 72 course is located just outside of downtown Frankenmuth. Recognized as one of Michigan's top golf courses, this course was designed in 1992 by golf architect Dick Nugent. While enjoying the day on this course that reflects characteristics of golf's early Scottish origins, be sure to take a break and enjoy lunch at the clubhouse! After enjoying a day on the golf course, treat yourself to a relaxing ride along the scenic Cass River on the Frankenmuth Funships or Bavarian Belle. For dinner, head to the Frankenmuth Brewery, where you can savor a cold glass of locally-crafted beer. Cap off your evening with one more round of golf - putt putt golf that is! The Family Fun Center at the Bavarian Inn Lodge features an indoor 18-hole putt putt course! Or head to the Lorelei Lounge at the Bavarian Inn Lodge for a night cap and some live music. DAY 2 Just a short drive outside of Frankenmuth, you'll find the Timber's Golf Club. Tee off for day two at this 18-hole course that incorporates many of the natural features of the area, including natural grasses, woodlots, ponds, and wetland areas. Wrap up your golf trip with a team dinner at the Bavarian Inn Restaurant or Zehnder's of Frankenmuth. Celebrate the low (or high) scores while enjoying a chicken dinner. And don't forget to grab a souvenir for those at home! Main Street is the perfect place to find a tasty treat to take home - candy from Zac & Mak's, fudge from the Frankenmuth Fudge Kitchen, or a new type of cheese from the Frankenmuth Cheese Haus.
