Make your next trip a purpose-driven one. In Michigan's Little
Bavaria, you can make a difference AND have fun at the same time!
Frankenmuth is home to over a dozen
large festivals and events throughout the
year, most of which are run by nonprofit
organizations who raise money for
wonderful causes. It's through the help
and time of volunteers that Frankenmuth
festivals are able to give back so much.
While thousands of visitors stroll through
the streets and park at Auto Fest looking
for their dream car, there is an extensive
crew of 500 volunteers behind the
scenes making the event run smoothly.
The World Expo of Beer, hosted by the
Frankenmuth Jaycees, also requires 500
volunteers to take tickets, pour beer, and
more. Bringin' Back the 80's Fest rocks
out to classics not just to have a good
time, but most importantly to give back
to breast cancer research and efforts.
When breast cancer took the life of a local
loved one, Bringin' Back the 80's Fest
was formed to raise money to help others
going through similar situations.
Voluntourism
If you frequent Frankenmuth festivals
or are reading about them now for the
first time, we invite you to consider
volunteering for one to enjoy a new
perspective, new experience, and a
behind the scenes view that feels even
more special because you're doing good
for others.
To learn more about the efforts and
causes of each festival, see their
respective websites or social pages.
