Plans for Summer 2023 include 24 sessions with five sections (rising grades 1st through 5th) and five teachers, Mrs. Tosha Miller, Mrs. Liz Merrihew, Mrs. Ann Lindow, Mrs. Madison Struble and Ms. Madalyn McKenzie. Librarian Mrs. Anne Paquette will be on staff making sure students have books in hand all summer. In addition, Mr. Luke Kanine will be working with students developing critical thinking skills through coding with drones. Explore & Soar is filled with opportunities for enrichment: writing and reading workshop, inquiry-based grammar and phonics lessons, and math instruction. In addition, STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, math) hands-on activities will also be included. All instruction will be new content that is strategically planned to help students rise into the next grade while making learning fun and exciting. In addition to the curriculum, students will head out on learning adventures through our beautiful town of Frankenmuth. Local businesses and museums will be working with teachers to immerse students with hands-on learning opportunities that will spark creativity, knowledge, and increase children's awareness of their own community. We look forward to once again partnering with Frankenmuth Noon Rotary to send students home with new books every single week. These books will be theirs to keep. What an amazing way to get books into our students' hands and help them foster a love of reading. This suer our Eagles wi EXPLORE & SOAR…..even higher! 9
