20 20 Expanding Library Services Expanding Library Services and Experiences Await You at and Experiences Await You at Frankenmuth Wickson District Library Frankenmuth Wickson District Library Have you visited the Frankenmuth Wickson District Library lately? If it has been a while, now is the perfect time to stop by and discover our exciting new services and experiences. We are thrilled to share that our library has been buzzing with activity, welcoming record numbers of visitors during our 2023 Summer Reading Program titled "All Together Now." Over the past year, we have introduced a wide range of adult programs designed to engage, inspire, and entertain. There's something for everyone, from craft projects to author discussions, Michigan Notable book club meetings, and more. Our dedication to serving the community's children and teens remains steadfast, with numerous special events and activities throughout the year. Story time will resume in late September at the library along with our once-a-month Destination Storytime. Each month we host a story time at an area business and learn all about our community. Tween and Teen After School Programs begin in October. We are particularly proud to introduce our newest addition, Adult Sensory Story Time, which takes place the third Friday of the month at 10 am and caters to adults with special needs. Each session explores a different theme through stories, songs, and interactive activities, ensuring a welcoming and inclusive environment. Another exciting development at the Frankenmuth Wickson District Library is the launch of our Library of Things. A Library of Things is a collection of items beyond traditional books for those unfamiliar with the concept. Now, in addition to borrowing books, you can also borrow items such as hotspots, Chromebooks, outdoor games, and even ukuleles. It's an excellent opportunity to explore new hobbies or try something different without needing a purchase. We launched our Homebound Delivery service, created with the aim of bringing the library experience directly to our patrons' doors. If you or someone you know cannot visit the library due to physical limitations, our dedicated team will happily deliver books and other library materials to your doorstep. A small application process is required to get started, ensuring we tailor our service to your needs. Beyond the books and digital resources, the Frankenmuth Wickson District Library has become a vibrant space for our community. Whether you need a quiet place to study, collaborate with others in our dedicated collaboration rooms, or host a community event in our spacious community room, we have you covered. Our friendly librarians are always available to assist you with everything from finding the perfect book to helping you navigate the intricacies of printing from your phone. So, why wait any longer? We invite you to rediscover the Frankenmuth Wickson District Library and all the fantastic opportunities it holds.
