This year's celebrations began at the Frankenmuth Ice Rink with ice skating performances, live music from the Frankenmuth High School Jazz Band, on-ice horse races, and so much more! After celebrating the opening of the third season of the Frankenmuth Ice Rink, locals were invited to skate for free, enjoy free hot chocolate and cookies, and pick up a candle for the return of the Candle Walk. Led by the Frankenmuth Jaycees, the new Candle Walk experience was enjoyed by over 300 people. Candles lit the journey from the Gunzenhausen Riverwalk entrance, along a portion of the Riverwalk, up the stairs by the pedestrian bridge, and along main street to the Chamber Platz. The candlelight made its way to the stage where the Frankenmuth Bible Church worship team accompanied local clergy in the telling of the Christmas Story. The night ended with the lighting of the Spectacular Christmas Tree. There was a chill in the air, the feeling of magic all around, and a celebration that was one to remember!
