The 2022-23 fiscal year was a year of learning and transition. Through it all we continued to follow our diverse marketing plan to drive visitors to Frankenmuth through print, digital, social, billboard, and other platforms. Fall of 2022 started off with a strong Christmas campaign made up of social, digital, and even a countdown to Christmas billboard! That momentum carried into winter and spring with a push to visit our waterpark properties. As summer and festival season picked up, we encouraged visitors to "Plan, Play, and Party" in Frankenmuth through an interactive digital campaign with Epsilon. Throughout the year our social media presence remained strong through campaigns with Two Six Digital. We saw a resurgence of print ads, with advertisements in publications including Grand Rapids Magazine, Bus Tours Magazine, and Good Housekeeping, to name a few. Our partnership with Pure Michigan continued to stay strong as we participated in their Event Response ad programs for Summer and Fall. In addition to print ads in their published Pure Michigan Guides. We made it a priority this fiscal year to expand our photo and video library to have more seasonal assets that we can use towards our marketing efforts. In addition to gaining more assets, we began the process of creating a new commercial with Grand Space Media. The biggest addition to our marketing plan was the 2024 Memorial Cup. This $500,000 investment was a strategic decision made to help bring this once in a lifetime event to our area, but it is also seen as an opportunity for Frankenmuth to have international exposure like never before. The Memorial Cup has opened the doors for collaboration with the Great Lakes Bay Region CVB, CHL, and many other local and national partners. It is a priority of ours to remain a leader in marketing within the community and industry and look forward to the new opportunities that come within this next fiscal year.
