16 A N N UA L R E P O RT Chamber & CVB The Frankenmuth Chamber of Commerce and Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB) held its Annual Meeting back in January to reflect upon the fiscal year beginning in October of 2022 and ending in September 2023. The evening was spent celebrating the successful year of both organizations, mingling with colleagues and friends, and looking ahead to the plans of the future. While it is hard to summarize a whole year's worth of work into one evening or this article, we've compiled some of the highlights to help show what both the Chamber of Commerce and CVB did during the 2022-2023 fiscal year to help promote, serve, and guide our member businesses, the community, and our visitors. Visitor Center • 32,731 guests greeted at Visitor Center • Over 4,700 total telephone inquiries • 49,896 Coupon Books distributed • 13,902 individual Visitor Guide requests mailed • 158,500 total Visitor Guides distributed Website & Social Media Over 5,200,000 people reached through our social media pages: • 24,430 Instagram Followers • 174,800 Page Likes on Facebook • 4,721 New Followers on Tik Tok (with 697,698 Video Views, & 21,064 Profile Views) • 2,181,526 Total Sessions on the frankenmuth.org website, with 5,689,491 Total Pageviews. (77.6% of users viewed the site on a mobile device or tablet) Group Meeting & Sales Attended: • Circle MI Annual Conference • Ontario Motorcoach Association (Conducted 23 Sales Appointments) • American Bus Association (Hosted a Frankenmuth Booth AND conducted 39 Sales Appointments) • Midwest Marketplace (Conducted 42 Sales Appointments) • Destination MI Lunch & Learn • MSAE Annual Conference Distributed 9,242 Visitor Guides and 8,901 Coupon Books to groups. Membership & Events 367 Members (Additionally 95+ clubs, organizations and honorary members) Gain of 29 new members, with 95% retention rate Hosted a variety of member and community events including: • 1 Lunch 'n Learn • 4 Morning Mingles • 4 Business After Hour Events • 7 Ribbon Cuttings • Friday Fun Nights • NEW! Restaurant Week • NEW! Community Scoop • Sale Fest (65 community participants) • Scarecrow Fest (37 business participants) In addition to the items listed above the Chamber and CVB continued to work with community partners including the City and DDA on projects including Wayfinding and Transportation, and various State partners including Pure Michigan and MACVB on projects including Advocacy and Advertising. While the 2022-2023 fiscal year was a huge success, your Chamber and CVB look forward to the future and successes that lie ahead! Community Relations Frankenmuth Ice Rink • Greeted 17,700 skaters • 25 Advertising Partners Frankenmuth Christmas Experience • 41 Christmas Experience Partners • 39 Stop & Snap Locations • 3 NEW German decor pieces • 2,067 Santa letters collected Egg-Splore Frankenmuth • 32 participating businesses • 358 eggs hidden around town Advertising & Publicity Continued a diverse marketing plan to drive visitors to Frankenmuth through print, digital, social, billboard, and other various platforms.
