What a year of action with accomplishing the big priorities set forth for the good of the whole. As I reflect on a year of some uncertainty that often comes along with election years, our mission stayed consistent while our goals were a bit aggressive. Our growing team of professionals eagerly served our community and got it done! We had 8 main organizational priorities including: executing the 2024 Memorial Cup, accessibility efforts, FrankenmuthLiving.com, a transportation plan, Customer Relation Management (CRM) replacement, Policy Manual updates, Sports Complex development progress and modernizing our existing Chamber Foundation. I couldn't be happier to report that we made progress or accomplished them ALL in addition to making great strides in many departmental goals as well. AND…we added a new website to the plan since it made more sense to prioritize along with the upgrade to our CRM. AND…our work is only as good as our talented team who also managed to balance 2 weddings, a new baby, and one graduation this year as well. It was a year full of blessings! At the start of the 23/24 fiscal year, we knew we were in for a big year, but nothing prepared us for the amount of time and talent that would go into helping host our first-ever international sporting event, the CHL's 2024 Memorial Cup. It was a success beyond measure in terms of community collaboration, positive media, a great guest experience for all who attended or watched over 10 days of national coverage on Canadian TV and social media. We are grateful for the partnerships and relationships built through that endeavor, especially with the Go Great CVB and the Saginaw Spirit. The excitement from the win may be starting to fade (slightly), but the positive momentum for Sports Tourism in Saginaw County is continuing to rise. the President L E T T E R F R O M 2 Continued on Page 3...
