9 Help Shape the Future of the Frankenmuth Wickson District Library The Frankenmuth Wickson District Library has always been more than just books—it is a vibrant hub of knowledge, creativity, and connection for our community. As we look ahead, we are embarking on an ambitious journey to map out not only the next three to five years but also the next quarter-century of library service. To do this, we need your input! Why Your Voice Matters The library has long been a beloved and well-utilized resource in our community, adapting and evolving to meet the changing needs of residents. From providing access to books and technology to hosting educational programs and community events, we strive to serve everyone—at every stage of life. As we plan for the future, we want to ensure that the Fran- kenmuth Wickson District Library continues to be a welcoming, inclusive, and essential part of our town. Your feedback will help shape our strategic plan, guiding deci- sions about library services, programming, and even our phys- ical space. What do you want to see more of at the library? Do we need more meeting spaces, expanded technology resources, or new program offerings? Whether you visit the library weekly or haven't been in years, your perspective is valuable. Planning for the Next Chapter As with any well-loved facility, our building's infrastructure is aging. We are approaching the life expectancy of several major components, including the roof, heating, and air conditioning systems. At the same time, the library is seeing increased usage and demand for services, raising important questions about space and functionality. We must ask ourselves: What will our community need in 10, 15, or even 25 years? Will current library spaces be sufficient? How can we ensure that future generations continue to benefit from a strong, modern library? Your input will help us answer these questions and guide future investments. More Than Books – A Community Hub Today's library is so much more than a place to borrow books. It is a lifelong learning center, a gathering space, and a resource for all ages. Here are just a few of the ways we serve our community: Early Literacy & Youth Programs – Storytimes, summer read- ing challenges, and interactive learning opportunities for children. Teen & Tween Engagement – Creative workshops, book clubs, and programs designed to inspire the next generation. Adult Education & Enrichment – Book clubs, guest lectures, and skill-building workshops ranging from technology train- ing to financial wellness. Technology Access – Free Wi-Fi, public computers, printing, and access to digital resources like eBooks, audiobooks, and online databases. Collaboration & Community Initiatives – Meeting spaces for local organizations, partnerships with schools, and outreach programs to make library services accessible to all. Libraries evolve as communities grow, and the Frankenmuth Wickson District Library is committed to ensuring our services continue to reflect the needs and aspirations of the people we serve. Fill Out the Survey – Your Opinion Shapes Our Future To gather community feedback, we have created a strategic planning survey, and we encourage everyone to participate. Even if you are not a current library user, we want to hear from you! Your insights will help shape decisions about: • The types of books, resources, and materials we offer • The programs and events that would benefit our community most • The library's physical space and infrastructure needs • Ways we can better serve residents of all ages and inter- ests Completing the survey is a quick and meaningful way to support the future of your library. It's an opportunity to voice your ideas, share your needs, and help us create a library that continues to enrich lives for decades to come. Visit the Library & Discover What's New If it's been a while since you last visited, we invite you to stop by and explore all the library has to offer. Whether you're looking for a quiet place to study, engaging community events, or access to digital tools and databases, there's something here for everyone. Strong libraries build strong communities. The library is a place of discovery, inclusion, and growth—a space where all residents can learn, connect, and thrive. By sharing your voice through the survey, you are playing an essential role in ensuring that the Frankenmuth Wickson District Library re- mains a dynamic and forward-thinking resource for years to come. Get Involved – Complete the Survey Today! The survey is now open, and we encourage you to take a few minutes to participate. Your feedback will directly impact the future of our library, ensuring that it continues to meet the needs of our growing community.
