20 20 As the days grow shorter and temperatures drop, let the library fill your winter with warmth and engaging activities to beat those winter blues. Snuggle up with a cozy winter read—our staff has handpicked a few seasonal favorites just for you. Or try something different by checking out a puzzle to take home. You could even start a friendly puzzle competition with family or friends! And don't forget our collection of new movies and family board games, perfect for a cozy night in. If you're looking to get out of the house, the library is your winter retreat. Find a cozy nook to read, bring your family to play a board game at our tables, or just enjoy the company of fellow community members. Our calendar is packed with events this season! For young people, we host special tween and teen evening activities in December, January, and February, along with our regular after-school programs. Adults, join one of our monthly book clubs: Wickson Reads on the third Wednesday, Books for Lunch, or our newest club, Brews and Books, which meets at the Kaffee House on Tuesday mornings and at Gera Bar on Thursday evenings in the first week of the month. Craft lovers can drop into Knit and Crochet Night on the first Monday of every month to work on projects or join us for Fourth Friday Crafts. For game enthusiasts, we have Mah Jongg every Thursday and Beginner Bridge on Wednesdays—a great way to keep your mind sharp and socialize. In January, we're excited to welcome Nathan Seeley from the Frankenmuth Historical Association for a four-part series on local history. He'll start with "Wilhelm Loehe, Founder of Frankenmuth" on Monday, January 13th, at 6 PM. And mark your calendar for our monthly Movie Matinees at Bronner's Performing Arts Center, in collaboration with the City of Frankenmuth and Frankenmuth Community Education. Finally, pick up your Adult Winter Reading Challenge log at the library—this winter reading adventure runs from January 1st through February 28th. Be sure to check our calendar for all the dates, times, and details. Whether you're looking for activities to do at home or a place to gather, the library has something for everyone this winter.
