10 Turning Pages Together : A Message from the Director What a year it has been for our library! We're thrilled to present the 2023/2024 annual report and showcase some of our incredible achievements and offerings. We finally updated our staff area, crea ng dedicated workspaces for our growing team and enhancing our efficiency and ability to serve the community. With the addi on of new staff members, we've offered a full calendar of events and services for everyone. We were fortunate to receive several grants this past year, enabling us to provide more resources for student learners, expand our services, and explore ways to make the library more accessible. Standout moments were being honored as the Grand Marshal for the Bavarian Parade and our 50th Anniversary Celebra on, where we welcomed nearly 1,300 community members. Summer Reading par cipa on con nues to soar, with over 900 individuals signing up, 550 earning prizes, 13,000 books checked out, and nearly 2,100 a endees across our 60 summer reading programs. Looking ahead, we aim to con nue building and expanding our outreach programs and community partnerships, enabling us to offer even more services and programs. We're also exploring remodeling the library basement to create a dedicated maker space, addi onal mee ng rooms, and a er-hour access op ons for our community room space.
