This summer, the Frankenmuth Wickson District Library truly colored our world! Our 2025 Summer Reading Program kicked off with a burst of energy and fun—over 1,100 people came through our doors for the opening event, which featured ice cream, balloon animals, face painting, and colorful activities for all ages. From May 31 through August 16, the library hosted more than 91 programs for babies through adults. Families joined us for weekly baby activities and lively storytimes at the River Place Shops. Color Quest Thursdays took participants on adventures around the community—from tie-dye in the park, to exploring the Saginaw Art Museum, enjoying "Rainbows in the Rainforest" at the Wilderness Zoo, and even playing All-Abilities Bingo. Teens enjoyed weekly meetups and art projects, while adults discovered new hobbies through workshops in sourdough bread making, photography, needle felting, color analysis, and even building colorful charcuterie boards.
