Well-tended flowers and lush greenery bloom in what many visitors describe as the most authentic Bavarian architecture to be found anywhere in the United States. Frankenmuth is famous for good food. Two of the country's largest family restaurants, dating from 1856 and 1888, combine to serve nearly two million dinners each year. Bronner's CHRISTmas Wonderland, the world's largest Christmas store, is also located in Frankenmuth. Bronner's store is the size of 1½ football fields. You can take a horse-drawn carriage ride down Main Street or a riverboat cruise up the Cass River. Watch and hear a glockenspiel, stroll across the largest wooden bridge built in the last century, attend any number of music, art, and folk festivals and enjoy unlimited shopping opportunities. For overnight stays in Frankenmuth you may choose from a Bavarian-style motel, lodge or waterpark hotels, local bed and breakfasts or RV parks, all conveniently located within walking distance of downtown Frankenmuth. Shop our Main Street lined with unique gift and goodie stores, including: cheese and sausage factories, woolen mills, trendy boutiques, a leather shop, fudge and candy kitchens, a brewery and museums. Our German-Style River Place shopping village and our Main Street boast over 100 shops and attractions to make Frankenmuth one of Michigan's premier shopping destinations.
