We had an amazing Annual Kickoff Dinner that showcased one of our biggest successes in the last year; the Friday Fun Night Series. There were strolling entertainers and our headliner was a group of kids from Detroit known as Beasts of the Beat. I was so proud of our community and business for the support shown to the group of boys with a heartwarming story. Now many of those kids will have opportunity to progress through generous contributions by The Frankenmuth Credit Union, Frankenmuth Insurance Company and Zehnder's of Frankenmuth. We also honored two wonderful couples from our business community that evening; Louie and Kathy Weiss and Gary and Carol McClellan. And as if that wasn't enough, we had a duo called Kinetic Affect perform a Frankenmuth Poem they wrote in honor of our community which will be put to video and used in online marketing later this spring. "Progress" was the watchword when our organization was founded over 100 years ago and we still use it frequently in various ways. We seek progress in the face of change like when one of our team members left for a new opportunity this fall. This allowed us the to bring on someone with talents in social media and marketing expertise to complement our award-winning team in the role of Sales & Marketing Director.
