EDUCATIONAL TOURS The Traditional Frankenmuth Experience A trip to Frankenmuth is truly an educational and fun experience. Discover the rich German, agricul- tural and religious history all around you through our traditional Frankenmuth experience itinerary. From hands-on activities like roll- ing your very own German pretzels to fun learning opportunities through the Frankenmuth Historical Museum Education Pro- gram like visiting an original one-room schoolhouse or shearing sheep! Visit the Frankenmuth Historical Museum. Be sure to ask about their education programs designed especially to engage and educate students of all ages. (Allow 2 hours, however some programs last longer. Call ahead to schedule your program) Tour the beautiful and historically rich St. Lorenz Lutheran Church. (Allow 1 hour) Roll your very own German pretzel while learning all about the ancient tradition at the Bavarian Inn Restaurant. You can enjoy your baked pretzel aer! (Allow 20 minutes) Enjoy one of our famous traditional family-style chicken dinners or a German meal at Bavarian Inn Restaurant or Zehnder's Restaurant for lunch (Allow 1.5 hours) Visit Bronner's CHRISTmas Wonderland. Be sure to catch the interesting videos they show daily on the history of the Bronner family and the store at 11am, 2pm, 3pm, and 4pm. Frankenmuth Adventure Another great educational option when visiting Frankenmuth is the Frankenmuth Adventure itin- erary. Learn all about the brave men and women of Michigan who served our country in battles, swing through the trees and navigate through obstacles, and even build your own pizza for lunch with a chef! Tour Michigan's Own Military & Space Heroes Museum. They have over 140 displays and a collection of more than 700 exhibits, stories devoted to Michigan's Governors, 15 Astronauts, and the Nation's largest Medal of Honor collection. (Allow 1 hour) Enjoy time spent up in the trees at Adventure Park of Frankenmuth! With ziplining and multiple levels of rope courses, this is a fun and energetic activity for those ages 7 and up! (Allow 2 hours) Enjoy building your own pizza with a gourmet chef at the Frankenmuth Farmers Market. Learn about Michigan produce and what ingredients were made to build your pizza. (Allow 1.5 hours) Take a ride on the gorgeous Bavarian Belle Riverboat. The hour tour is narrated, showcasing the history of Frankenmuth while you take in the sights and enjoy a refreshment. The boat is in the water May thru October and runs every 1.5 hours everyday beginning at 11am. (Allow 1 hour) tourism tip Johnny Panther Quests Adventure Trips are great for your student group of 10 or less.
