22 | THINGS TO DO FRANKENMUTH.ORG Zehnder Park Woodcarver's Pavilion Erected in 1986 and dedicated to the City of Frankenmuth, carvings in the pavilion depict famous fairy tale stories written by the Grimm's brothers, such as Snow White, Red Riding Hood and many others. During summer months, carvers practice under the pavilion and answer questions. Located on Main Street across from Frankenmuth River Place. u love love this city. I would move there if I could. Write down their gnome names and their homes. Once you find 10, return it to the Visitors Center and receive a prize! Covered Bridge: Take a walk across the historic covered bridge, a 239 foot, 230 ton covered bridge made completely of wood which spans the Cass River. Frankenmuth Holz Brücke (wooden bridge) is open year round for autos or pedestrians. St. Lorenz Lutheran Church: Take a tour of the sanctuary at our beautiful and historic church. Visit on the second Sunday of the month at 11AM for their German worship service, spoken mostly in German. Bavarian Inn Glockenspiel: Watch the Glockenspiel tell the story of the Pied Piper of Hamelin. The Bavarian Inn Glockenspiel Tower houses a magnificent 35-bell carillon, a beautiful figurine movement and an illuminated clock, all imported from Germany! Story told daily at 12, 3, 6 and 9pm. Bronner's Silent Night Chapel or Christmas Lane: Visit the Silent Night Chapel on the grounds of Bronner's CHRISTmas Wonderland, an exact replica of the one in Obendorf, Austria where the hymn Silent Night was first sung in 1818 or take a drive down Christmas Lane, illuminated 365 days a year and marvel at the more than 50,000 strands of lights. things to do free 5 1 2 4 5 3
