Snowman/Sculpture Competition Go outside, get creative, and celebrate Snowfest! Get together with friends, family or co-workers, and show off your snow-building skills. Participation is easy. Build your work of art in your front yard, take a photo of your creation and submit it to Frankenmuth Parks and Recreation on Facebook or by emailing Parks@FrankenmuthCity.com. Prizes, graciously donated by local businesses, will be awarded to the best snowman or sculptures in town. Submissions must be in by Friday, January 25 at 5pm. This special event takes place at Candlelite Bowling Center for boys in grades K thru 6th. This event includes a downloadable photo of you and your son to remember the day as well as food and pop. $34 per couple. Registration deadline is Monday, December 17th. Candlelite Bowling Center January 21 NO SCHOOL February February 14-17 "Newsies" Show Bronner Performing Arts Center February 21, 6:30pm - 8pm Daddy/Daughter Dance Young ladies may be accompanied by their fathers, grandfathers or a father figure of her choice. Guests will experience a fun night creating memories they will cherish for years to come. The Bavarian Inn Lodge will be filled with music, dancing, ice cream and refreshments. Each daughter will receive their own tiara. A photographer will be on site to capture the evening with a photo that can be downloaded after the event. Semi- formal attire. $34 per couple (A dinner is available before the dance at an additional cost) Registration deadline is Wednesday, January 23. Contact Parks & Recreation to register. If you'd like more information on local events, visit frankenmuth.org/calendar, or for school events visit fmuthschools.com Frankenmuth Nights at Splash Village We have joined with Splash Village again for Frankenmuth Nights at Splash Village. Come join us! Discounted water park passes may be purchased only at the Parks & Recreation Office. Passes are $20 per person. This offer is only available on the following evenings from 4-8pm: December 9, January 20, February 24, March 17 and April 28. Deadline to purchase tickets is the Thursday prior to each evening. Youth age 12 and under must be accompanied by a paying adult. Zehnder's Splash Village Hotel & Waterpark Adult Winter Volleyball Cost is $195 per team. Women's League, Wednesday nights: 10 game season starting January 9th. Co-Ed League, Monday nights: 10 game season starting on January 7th. Registration deadline is Monday, December 17th. Start Smart Basketball Is your child ready to play basketball? This program helps parents work one on one with their child, while an instructor leads the program teaching them the basics of basketball. Start smart welcomes boys and girls ages 4-5. All children must have a parent or guardian accompany them. Mondays at 5:30pm, starting January 7th (6 week program) $40 per child. Registration deadline is Monday, December 17th. 6th Annual Doug Oprea Memorial Kids Fun Bowling League This event is not run by Parks & Recreation but is supported by them. An instructional based bowling program learning the basics of bowling for middle school aged athletes. The program is FREE to those who register. Call Brian at (989) 777-2190, ext 4 to sign up!
