Do's & Don'ts of Recycling Residents in both the City of Frankenmuth and Frankenmuth Township receive trash and recycling services through the Mid Michigan Waste Authority (MMWA). If you're located within the City, you also receive yard waste pick up. This next year, the MMWA is making special efforts to educate residents on how best to recycle. Contamination in recycling is increasing costs. Many well-intentioned recyclers place non- recyclables (like plastic bags and greasy pizza boxes) in with their recycling bins. This "wishful recycling" is expensive because communities pay recyclables processing rates for trash that should have gone to a landfill. As a recycling community, we need to understand that recyclables are raw materials that have a value and we need to carefully sort our materials. If you have any questions about recycling, please contact the City or visit www.recyclemotion.org! DO Recycle... DON'T Recycle... 6 Empty and rinse all recyclables and place in one bin, no sorting needed. Bins are available at City Township Center.
