15 Community Comes rough LORI ETTEMA "This past Sunday, we hosted a wedding reception for our daughter Hannah and husband, Dan, at the Frankenmuth Brewery. We are so grateful to everyone who helped us make this happen after the serious storms that blew through town on Saturday night. The power outages left the Brewery with a small electrical fire and only enough power to keep their coolers operational. On Sunday morning, I went to The Brewery, and they were not sure when full power would be back, but they certainly hoped to accommodate our 4 pm reception. In the meantime, I contacted Jim Dohrmann and Amy Grossi at the Frankenmuth Bavarian Inn, and they told me that they had a room that could accommodate our group of 90 as long as we let them know by 2 pm. It was such a relief to know we had a back-up plan! Fortunately, the Brewery became fully operational at about 12:30 pm and our reception went perfectly! Keep in mind that the Brewery had to wash every dish and clean the entire kitchen from the power outage the night before and then they had to prepare food for our group. I'd also like to send a shout-out to Kroger. We had ordered flowers from Kroger for the reception. They were closed on Sunday morning due to the power outage but they let me in to pick up our order and they trusted me to come back and pay for them when the power came back on. Thanks!"
