On Friday, May 31st, List Elementary welcomed over 600
special friends who joined us for lunch. Special Friends
Luncheon has been in place at List for over 19 years! This
is an opportunity for our community and family members
to walk through the doors of our school and see what we
are all about. Our students enjoy having special friends join
them to show off projects, their classroom, their teachers,
their school and the playground. Art teacher, Erin Warnick,
selected a special piece of artwork from each student to be
displayed in the hallway during the luncheon.
One of the most important parts of the luncheon is, of course,
lunch! Over the years our kitchen staff, under the direction
of Cindy Hegenauer, has served hundreds of meals from
sandwiches, to freshly grilled hamburgers and hot dogs, to
the pizza bar – over 1,400 slices were served this year!
This is a great way to tell our story of the amazing things
happening at List Elementary and we are grateful for the
special visitors!
