We were excited to learn that Frankenmuth Schools qualified for a Federal Program which provided free breakfasts and lunches to students. In less than 24 hours, Cindy organized a team and a system to serve our community's young people. Our school district was the only place that made a hot meal each day for students. Cindy also is a leader in culture. She encouraged her team make it fun, and they held "themes" for each day. In the end, under Cindy's direction, our food service department served 28,188 meals!" Recka phillips "She has gone to work every day not complaining, Not even when there was no business She has worked hard through this time and it has been difficult. Working at a Little Caesar's is not glamorous job but She went to work every day knowing that she could catch COVID. THAT is courage." Matt & Abby Curtis "At the onset of Covid-19, Matt and Abby Curtis (From Frankenmuth Woolen Mill, Abby's of Frankenmuth, and Jaami's Ice Cream) donated hundreds of yards of fabric for mask makers. This fabric was put to use by mask makers from all over. Then when masks became a requirement, they provided 2 masks to every household within the City & Township of Frankenmuth to help keep everyone protected as businesses began to reopen." 9
