This will give the illusion that someone is home. 3 Use motion sensor lighting for outdoors and dusk to dawn light bulbs. 4 If you park your car outside, lock all doors and remove all valuables. Remember to check your glove box as well. Remove your garage door opener from your vehicle. If you park your vehicle in the garage, lock all doors to the garage, your car doors, and do not leave your keys in your car. 5 Have an alarm system or camera system installed if you do not have one.
