Over 5,600 total telephone inquires 30,471 guests greeted at Visitor Center during open months 14,541 individual guide requests mailed Distributed over 53,600 coupon books The 2021/2022 fiscal year was an important year to begin navigation of a post-pandemic normal for the Visitor Center and tourism in Frankenmuth. Our visitor center staff did an amazing job reaching out and gathering ever-changing information from our business community including open hours and upcoming events to promote and relay that information to our visitors and local community alike. We continued to promote Frankenmuth as a safe, welcome, and enjoyable place to visit. The Christmas Experience was back for its second year in 2021 and included a Stop 'N Snap photo challenge with prizes redeemed at the Visitor Center. We continued the Letters to Santa, almost doubling the number from the year before, and also handed out the Christmas Experience Guide and Light Tour Maps. Once weather turned warm, we brought back the tables, chairs, and umbrellas to the Platz and they were used daily by visitors and locals alike. In addition, "Games on the Platz" was a fun and successful family friendly free addition to our Platz in late summer. The Bavarian Bierpass and Gnome Hunt (which is now available online) have both increased in participation to offer visitors and locals incentives to support Frankenmuth. The Dodge Road rest area near Clio has continued to be host to our Frankenmuth Visitor Guides, coupon books, and our members brochure. It is stocked twice a week with a partnership between us and the Great Lakes Bay CVB.
