Frankenmuth

October 2021 through September 2022. That's the fiscal year reflected in this annual report. Looking back, the biggest hurdle of our year was an incredible talent loss. We went into the year with the goal of growing our team. Instead, we rebuilt. Going into the year, the Board approved hiring the two new positions that had been slated pre- pandemic to bring us from a full-time team of six to eight. However, like most in our business community have experienced in the last year, talent acquisition is equally as difficult as retention and both are critical to business success. But like all things we do at the Frankenmuth Chamber and CVB, we relied on our faith. Knowing there was a plan to be fulfilled, the Executive Committee served on a special committee to realign the positions and evaluate compensation packages to be competitive to attract and retain a committed and qualified team. Two of our six previous team members remain and we have been blessed with six amazing new people that have already accomplished so much for our organization in a year when we could be behind by a year due to training lag and cost of transition. While difficult, it was an amazing year of rebuilding. And our hope is that many members hardly even noticed because so many of our programs continued to have impact. Throughout this report, you'll notice some of the great accomplishments of your Chamber and CVB, many of which were likely unknown to many of our members. We still represented Frankenmuth at slowly returning convention sales events and attended many industry events to keep up on the changing industry trends. Motorcoach efforts have a renewed focus as they've emerged strong post pandemic.
