Additional FSD-sponsored opportunities outside of the school clubs and sports are offered through Frankenmuth Community Education, including theatre opportunities with the Muth Community Players. Over 75% of Frankenmuth High School students are involved in at least one extra-curricular activity, and many are involved in more than one, sometimes in different seasons, and sometime simultaneously. In addition to the socio-emotional gains made through such involvement, students learn and strengthen valuable "soft skills" through participation in such activities including confidence building, teamwork, leadership, communication, and time management skills. One event where "A Place for All" is most evident is on our football field during halftime. When you watch a 2021 halftime performance or look at a Marching Band performance pic, you'll quickly notice some students who are not wearing the traditional uniforms. Cheerleaders who are also band students participate in their sport on the sideline during the game and then join their bandmates for halftime, performing in their cheer uniforms. This year, spectators will also see a football player in full gear, serving as one of our two FHS Drum Majors.
