10 SECURITY ENTRANCES Restructuring our entrances is an important part of the bond and will account for about 13% of the bond. Redesigning the entries to have an additional step and personal contact prior to entry into student areas will ensure safety and customer service. While the main entrances will be the primary focus, there are auxiliary entrances on the list addressing security and efficiency. • High School Security Entrances – The High School has three entrances that will be addressed as well as moderate main office re-configuration. The estimated cost is $799,505. • EFR Security Entrances – EFR Middle School has two entrances that will be addressed as well as an office relocation and remodel of the existing office. The estimated cost of these projects is $600,000. • List Security Entrances – List Elementary has two entrances that will be addressed as well as moderate main office re-configuration. The estimated cost of these projects is $400,000. HIGH SCHOOL PROJECTS The High School has one building project, renovating the Media Center that hasn't had any changes in 46 years (built in 1973). This project will account for about 13% of the bond. • FHS Media Remodel & Addition – The goal is to expand the Media Center giving, it two purposes as well as renovate the former main entrance. HS Media Center and f ront entrance renovation has been identified as a target project since 2005. The goal is to create modern learning space servicing full computer lab needs, media distribution, and large/small group settings for students. This area will also be an extension of the cafeteria. We will reconfigure the original entrance to the high school, adding restrooms and space for students to efficiently work, study, and enjoy a break during lunch, as well as before and after school. The estimated cost of the project is $1,061,800. • FHS Furniture to support the Media Center – The purchase of furniture to support the Media Center project will cost $140,000. • FHS Security Entrances – The High School has three entrances that will be addressed, including moderate main office re-configuration.
